Description
SHILO COMMUNITY CENTER was founded by reverend Francis Kinyua Mungai in the year 2011. The Reverend saw the need to assist the residents of SOWETO SLUMS whose children could not afford basic needs like food, clothing, shelter, and Education.
Most of the families, even to date are still wallowing in poverty, Today the school has a population of over 500 learners. The school got its name “SHILO” from the biblical story of Hannah who had no child but upon visiting the Lord’s temple at SHILO, her wish was granted. We believe that through prayers, these children’s lives will be transformed.
